July’s meeting is the annual HOA meeting at 7pm. Typically no meeting in December. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The purpose of a board meeting is for the appointed board to discuss and decide association business. The board\u2019s goal is to ensure that time is spent on relevant matters at hand. In order to conduct the meeting, we use Robert’s Rules of Order, and our intent is to be efficient and fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Basic Rules for Board Meeting:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1) Meeting Notice and Agenda are posted to the informational board located in Forest Edge’s front entrance island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2) Generally held on the third Thursday of each month at the Country Creek clubhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3) Homeowners of record are welcome at board or annual meetings. Homeowner of record means the person(s) listed on the home’s deed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4) Only board members are entitled to participate in conducting board business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5) The President is responsible for making sure that each board member has an equal opportunity to speak and that the meeting is run properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6) The Vice-President is charged with assisting the President in adhering to time constraints and addressing member misconduct at the meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7) Limited time is provided for members to speak under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00b7\u00a0A member can request to speak on an agenda item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00b7 When called upon by the President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00b7\u00a0Depending on the type of meeting and number of homeowners in attendance, a speaking time limit will be established for owner comments at the beginning of the meeting. Typically owners will be allowed to speak for a maximum on 3 minutes per requested agenda item. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 9) Principles of courtesy apply. Only one person speaks at a time. No interrupting, ridicule, sarcasm or innuendos. Attendees must direct all statements to the board not to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Board welcomes the input and participation of all members and appreciate your assistance so that we can conduct an orderly meeting. Please always remember that the board is made up of volunteers.
